"Suture"
2005
paper, Xerox copy on archival paper, methyl cellulose paste, archival tape, paperclay, double sided mirror, stand
installation, variable dimensions
installation view at the Gallery Jin, Tokyo, Japan
Photographed by Masaru Yanagiba/Nick McDonell

The installation is constructed of three individual pieces.
1. There is a fabric screen hanging from the ceiling. A still image of a swing is projected on the screen with overhead projector.
When people pass by the screen it moves causing the image of the swing to move also.
2. There are mirror image sculptures of girls laying on the floor. They are divided by double sided mirror. The reflection in the mirror matches the sculpture laying on the other side.
3. There is curtain frozen in a wind blow shape. It is held in place by fishing line attached to a clear plexiglass panel.
